Vincent Unuorakpor

Before joining Pettis Law Firm LLP as an Associate Attorney, Vincent was a senior counsel at a boutique law firm in Nigeria where he represented clients in all aspects of litigation at trial and appellate courts, participated in negotiations and mediations, and prepared several transactional documents in many areas of law, including personal injury law, product liability law, employment, and labor law, environmental law, administrative law, constitutional law, contract law, business law, and many others. He won several cases in state, federal, and appellate courts.

Vincent migrated to the United States and rebuilt his legal career by attending the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law. He was on the Dean’s List for two semesters. He was a member of the Black Law Students Association, the Health Law Club, and the Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity in law school. When he graduated from law school, he was on the prestigious list of 2021 outstanding graduates. He received the Thomas Clark Civility in Litigation Award for exceptional civility and high ethical standards in trial advocacy because of his passionate, diligent, creative, and ethical approach to trial advocacy.

From 2020 to 2021, Vincent was a Law Clerk with the Office of the Attorney General in the California Department of Justice. There he  assisted with various aspects of defending personal injury and property damage cases involving State of California agencies, prepared motions, and other pleadings, filed in federal and state courts, prepared written discovery and reviewed documents, attended and assisted in depositions.

Vincent enjoys being with his family, reading books, learning the French or Spanish language, listening to music, playing or watching soccer in his free time.
